SilverSeal self-healing membrane

SilverSeal is an "active" swelling membrane that serves to insulate concrete surfaces that touch the ground.

SilverSeal protects the surface in two ways:

• the first line of protection consists of a PE film coated on one side.
• The second line of protection is a factory-bonded fleece consisting of PP fibers coated with a swelling agent that absorbs water and swells in the event of damage to the PE film.

In case of water penetration through the film, the hydroactive polymer swells and thus creates an extremely dense layer in the form of a gel that permanently closes the damaged area on the membrane. Even cracks in the concrete are reliably closed this way! Water penetration between the membrane and concrete is practically impossible thanks to SilverSeal.
