Radmyx™ is used as an admixture for concrete waterproofing based on “crystallization”. It is also an environmentally friendly and economical system that offers complete protection through “"permanent self-sealing waterproofing"” guaranteed throughout the entire service life of the concrete structure.

Radmyx™ reacts with the hydration products of cement and creates an internal membrane in the form of insoluble crystals in the cracks, pores and capillaries of concrete – effectively blocking water penetration while allowing the structure to breathe.

In contact with water, the crystals “grow”, forming a waterproof layer that acts like a protective membrane to prevent water from penetrating the concrete. Each subsequent contact of Radmyx™ particles with water stimulates crystallization again.

Radmyx™ is equally effective against positive and negative water pressure.

Radmyx™ can be used as:

• additive which is added during the concrete mixing phase (in new construction).
• coating or plaster which is used in the repair of old concrete.
• dusting powder on fresh concrete in order to strengthen the concrete surface.

Dosage

It is added to a dry or fresh concrete mix 0.78 kg of Radmyx™ additive for 1 m³ of concrete . Since it is used as a concentrated admixture, it contains a much larger number of active particles within the concrete structure itself and therefore has a greater ability to continuously produce crystals in the future.

• Sure – Radmyx ™ is non-toxic and safe even for use in drinking water tanks. Prevents the penetration of harmful substances into concrete (water, chlorides, sulfur). Resistant to positive and negative hydrostatic pressure. The crystals act deep within the concrete structure, not just on the surface.

Radmyx™ as a coating or plaster

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Radmyx™ coating is a ready-made mixture composed of Radmyx™ concentrate, cement and sand.

When used as a coating, the finished powder mixture is mixed with water in the ratio: 1 liter of water to 2.25 to 2.5 kg of powder mixture. Mixed in the form of a cement coating, it is applied with a brush to the concrete wall in two layers.

When used as a plaster, only the amount of water is reduced compared to the coating.

Radmyx™ coating is an effective water/moisture protection that can be applied on both the positive and negative sides of water pressure and is intended for underground parts of a building protected from thermal loads.

After crystallization, the Radmyx™ particles remain at rest in the concrete until they are activated by contact with water again, and they start the sealing process - crystallization again.

CONSUMPTION

1 kg of Radmyx™ coating is required for 1 m² of surface for 1 coat (2 coats must be applied).

HOW DOES RADMYX™ COATING WORK?

Radmyx™ coating applied to a damp wall binds with water (moisture) that fills the pores and capillaries of the concrete. Through the process of osmosis, the active particles of Radmyx™ coating move from areas of high concentration (from the application site) to areas of lower concentration (pores and capillaries filled with water). In contact with water, they form insoluble fibrous crystals that prevent further water penetration through the concrete.
